Location. The charming Hotel Smit is located 100 metres from the Museum District in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The popular Vondelpark is 300 metres from the hotel, and both Leidsplein square and the Albert Cuyp Market are 500 metres away. Hotel Features. Set on the famous PC Hoofstraat shopping street, Hotel Smit features a traditional brick facade with a candy striped awning. Staff at the 24 hour front desk can help with sightseeing trips to local attractions like the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged (surcharge).

From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Distance to Hotel Smit is 20 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. A railway station is located under Schiphol Plaza, in the central hall of the terminal. Every 15 minutes a direct train runs to Amsterdam Central Station. Shared Schiphol Travel taxis can be found outside the arrivals hall. The cars can seat up to eight people and cost around 19 EUR per person. Private taxis into Amsterdam city centre cost approximately 40 EUR. Public buses frequently run to Amsterdam and other destinations. Buses 197 and 370 go to central Amsterdam and Amsterdam Zuid. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on PC Hoofstraat, near the Museum District. Amsterdam can easily be explored by foot. However, there are convenient bus, tram and metro services running through the city and outside areas. Cycling is also a popular way to see Amsterdam. There are taxi ranks at the central station. Driving within the canal ring is discouraged.
Driving directions. From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport: Follow signs to central Amsterdam. Take Exit 5106 towards Surinamameplein. Continue on to Overtoom and Stadhouderskade. You'll come to PC Hoofstraat, where the hotel is located.
